May I also nip back in to offer particular greetings to those of you I met when I finally shook my substantial booty at the last couple of Poptimisms. I had already met Erithian previously and it was he who introduced me to Kat and one or two others. The most historic meetings for me, though, had to be with the three guys I once erroneously nicknamed “Bungle, Zippy and George”. In no particular order, these, of course, are Mssrs Ewing, Carlin and Sinker. I guess that makes me “Humpty”! Great to know you. Also Lena, and a special hi to Rosie, who I’ve known for over a year now and with whom I regularly keep in touch.

Blimey, I’m sounding like I’ve just been on “Popmaster”. Best I get my coat.

I’m sure everyone will be delighted to know that Rosie’s “lump” has been diagnosed “not malignant”. This is obviously wonderful news and will mean a good start to the new year for one of Popular’s most endearing players after a reflective Christmas up in Cumbria. GO, ROSIE!!!

When the project began in September 2003, Black Eyed Peas’ “Where Is The Love” was number one (#960). Joe McElderry is #1118, so in the time you’ve done 575 entries, a further 158 have been added to the list. This is starting to sound like a maths test… anyway, well done as always Tom (especially given the arrival of Drake this year!) and a happy New Year to all.
